After two years of filming, the latest cinematic journey in the Vorticity series is here! From mothership supercells to stunning tornadoes, sunsets and lightning, this film captures what I saw during the 2024/25 spring chase seasons in the central plains, from the southern border of Texas all the way to Montana.

In this newest installment, a few key days pop out in my mind. The Hawley, Texas tornado from May 2nd, 2024. Akron, Colorado tornado on May 23rd of this year. And June 6th, 2025, which was a chase from southeast Colorado all the way to near Pampa, Texas hours later. That single day gave me 15 individual time-lapse clips from initiation all the way to night-time beasts that lasted until midnight. But there are so many moments I love her. Some dramatic sunset storms, one of them an anticyclonic, north moving supercell in Wyoming ablaze with orange light. Mammatus clouds, dust, lightning, flashing updrafts, whale’s mouths, shelf clouds, boiling cumulus and just random awesomeness.

The film is made up of tens of thousands of individual frames captured over the course of four months, 40,000+ miles, exhaustion, depression, exhilaration and passion. When you’ve been doing this as long as I have, you are your own worst enemy, you critique yourself too harshly and you expect the very, VERY best. I missed a few epic days this year and those hurt, but I’m beyond proud of this film.

No words can thank Peter Nanasi enough for his insane work in creating this custom track for me. This one I think is his best yet. And it’s become such a easy collaboration. He knows me, what I do, what I like, and this time he gave me a nearly 11 minute track with me only having one tiny note and the whole thing just worked PERFECTLY. Thank You!

This film wouldn’t exist without relentless support behind the scenes. My deepest gratitude goes to my family—your encouragement and patience during long days and weeks on the road make every frame possible. Thank you for being my anchor. Filmed in 8K for maximum detail, all clips are available for licensing through me or on Filmsupply.com.
