Remy and Andy’s wedding was off the charts. Incredible details, insane flowers, a gorgeous sunset, two wedding dresses and three separate areas for cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. I arrived around 12:30 in the afternoon and didn’t leave until 2:30am and as I headed to my truck, guests were headed to the after-after party! I was completely drained but they kept the night going. It was a celebration of epic proportions and I’m so stoked that I could be a part of it. I first met Remy and Andy for their engagement session earlier this year and they are two incredibly kind people. I will always remember seeing Andy at the rehearsal dinner and he said “Mike’s a member of the great beard club!” except I thought he said “GRAY beard” and was making fun of some of the white hairs starting to appear here and there haha. But of course he meant the compliment because that’s who he is. And Remy too. The emotions and tears all day was such a reminder that despite all the extravagance…a girl was marrying a boy and that’s what was important.
The wedding was at the stunning Phoenician Resort, my first time shooting there. What a gorgeous location. So many little nooks and crannies for photos. I have to give some shout-outs to the amazing people who helped with this one. First off is Trista Guzman (and team) from BTS Event Management, who referred me to this couple and I can never thank her enough! Despite so many things going on, the day went flawlessly. She’s always a pleasure to work with and I stoked that we have one more this year together! To my buddy Jeff Ambrose who helped me yet again on this one…he absolutely killed it. He was blasting detail shots for most of the afternoon for me since there was so much of them, and he did an outstanding job as always.
Props to Megan from Flower Bar…I mean, the centerpieces alone were magnificent…she put so much work into this and it was absolutely amazing. It was also a pleasure to meet Kyle and company from Amore Films for the first time! And as always, working with Dave from Desert House Productions is a dream. One of the best DJ’s I know.
Mainly though, Remy, Andy and Wendy (Remy’s mom)…thank you all soooooo much for trusting me with your day. It was such a pleasure working with you all and I hope you enjoy these images.
And now…on to the good stuff!
