I knew I’d love this couple the minute they asked me to start off their engagement session by capturing them target practicing with shot guns. I mean…how can you top that?
This was the last wedding of the spring for me and I’m so glad it was this one. Relaxed, wonderful people, everyone incredibly happy…we really had a blast photographing this. And by we, I mean myself and my buddy Jeff Ambrose, who helped me for this one and always kills it. Â Thanks my friend.
The day started off with Mariel getting ready at The Sanctuary, and then she drove over in a limo to Mount Carmel for the ceremony and finished up with the reception at Val Vista Lakes. Of course we had to do portraits in the little tunnel under Val Vista Road because the light inside there is epic to say the least. The opening in the roof and the way the tunnel is backlit is like a natural little studio. Insane.
Also…the groom picked up the bride and threw her over his shoulder…TWICE. That’s a good wedding.
Thank you to Ben and Mariel for trusting me with their big day…I’ve had so much fun with you guys and I wish you both the very best in your marriage!
