It was raining most of the morning and early in the afternoon, so much so that the ceremony was moved inside…but, I was watching the radar and guessed that around 3:30, the rain would move out and things could clear up. Sure enough, the rain stopped and Kurtis made a command decision to move the ceremony BACK outside…daring it to rain again.
But it didn’t…and it was a brilliant call. The day was perfect, the lighting unbelievable…and everything worked out perfectly.
The views of Camelback Mountain were stunning as well…first time at Mountain Shadows, it was a great venue!
Liza and Weston were amazing to work with at their engagement session on The Salt River, so I knew the wedding would be a blast. Not to mention working with Andrea Leslie is always a treat, plus my second shooter Courtney and Desert House Productions!
First wedding at El Chorro, it’s a beautiful space, lovely views of Camelback Mountain and a great desert landscape right on property. The bride got ready at Mountain Shadows right across the street, which is also a stunning hotel with some gorgeous rooms.
Here are the photos, I hope you enjoy!
I absolutely love backyard weddings. This was a beautiful one from this fall, between Emily and Anthony who is a Marine. Loved all the uniforms in the wedding party and in attendance.
The incredible arch in front of the ceremony was actually made from Aspen trees and antlers that they found themselves!
