Esther and Sam’s engagement session at the Grand Canyon
Ester and Sam….a chilly day in May, where it was cold, rainy and it even snowed/hailed up at the Grand Canyon. These two were all the way from Singapore and wanted photos at the Grand Canyon. We stopped off at Watson Lake first to get some fun stuff there and headed north after.
My buddy Chris DeAngelis was along for the ride and it was a ton of fun to share this amazing day with a good friend.
Mike, your images never cease to amaze! I originally signed up to see your storm chasing photos and thought the time lapse vids were totally awesome! You capture your subjects in a way that makes one appreciate the environment they are set in. Your results show you are a master at finding a perfect balance between foreground , subject and background on nature’s stage. This is also very evident in your working with people. You have a great talent! Looking forward to seeing more.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for this amazing session, it has become our milestone in our relationship. Not to forget Chris, who was so patient and went all out to help us behind the camera. It was fun fighting the cold and wet climate with all of you. If ever we could make it back to Phoenix, we will definitely check back with you, and perhaps some storm-chasing experience!
Love,
Samuel & Esther
Your shots are awesome and a stunner! Beautiful couple. I am wondering where in Grand Canyon are most of these taken? We are also having our engagement session in Grand Canyon. We have never been there so we don’t what to expect. I am assuming there would be fences and rails around the Grand Canyon spots that wouldn’t allow us to go off the trail. However, we want pictures like these, raw and naturally capturing the magnificent beauty of Grand Canyon without any sight of railings or tourists. Any advice for us?
