I’ve known the mom of this family for awhile now…she’s an amazing photographer herself and I met her first back on a couple of downtown Phoenix photowalks I ran a few years ago. Since then we’ve stayed friends on Facebook and supported each others’ work! It’s been so much fun to get to know her better and even banter back and forth a few times about horses or riding or something, I can’t remember haha! Maybe I don’t want to remember because I believe I got owned pretty good.
I was SO excited when she asked me to take some photos of her and her beautiful, beautiful family! I loved these kids, they were such fun and a total hoot. Parents always worry about how their kids are acting, but most of the time it’s never as bad as they think and these guys were amazing fun. They had no trouble being themselves, making faces or in little man’s case…looking super sad with that hoody. So good dude. Also he and I both had on gray All-Stars, plus I was wearing my Captain America tee with the shield logo, and HE had a star on his sweatshirt…so I felt like we were buddies before we even met!
