We don’t get to see sights like this all the time in Arizona…or if you do, it’s kind of hit and miss. The storms we get up north tend to randomly spawn tornado warnings from time to time, so you never know what might happen when you head up in that direction.
This cloud definitely has the look and feel of a low-hanging wall cloud…but I didn’t spot any rotation. Of course, I was kind of excited just to see a cloud like this and I was busy taking photos.
There was no rotation on radar, but this storm had a strong looking hail core in it a few moments before this, so it was definitely a beast.
Either way…this is the kind of stuff I LOVE to see when I’m out chasing. Just so happened we were on our way to an engagement shoot in Jerome!
