Where It All Started

Taking pictures of families, kids, babies…it’s actually where this whole photography thing started for me.

When my daughter was born, all I wanted to do was take pictures of her. And I wanted them to be good. I got some cute images with our little point-&-shoot, but I needed something better. Luckily I was also trying to photograph lightning at that time, caught a nice strike and new I needed a better camera.

Soon after that, my wife helped me sell most of our boxed DVD sets of TV shows to purchase my first REAL camera, and suddenly I couldn’t put it down. And as the story goes for a lot of people…I began with pictures of Lyla. I posted them on Facebook. I posted them on my blog. Soon people were asking me to take pictures of their families, and then their friends were asking me and boom we were off to the races!

My portrait work encompasses families, babies, kids, pregnant mothers and your high school seniors. I shoot it all. And the sessions are simple and fun. We wander around our chosen location, do some posing, capture some candid moments, and you’ll end up with a nice mix of images of the ones you love.

Newborn

Arreola Family

Newborn sessions are so fun, I love to do them when the baby is 7-10 days old. This little guy was absolutely adorable and the Arreola family has been so amazing to keep coming back over the years for more family portraits.

Senior Portraits

Alexa

Alexa wanted a mix of urban and nature for her senior portraits and so we hit up some grungy parts of downtown Phoenix and a nearby nature preserve! Stunning photos.

Maternity

Larissa

I was able to do their engagement photos, then the wedding, and here was the next chapter in their story. A sunrise session in Sedona was just the ticket on a warm summer day. So thankful for Larissa and Nick!

What To Expect

My basic portrait sessions are $500 ($450 for former clients), last about 45 minutes to an hour, includes all high-resolution, edited images (usually over 100 photos) and an online gallery of your images with easy access to buying professional quality prints if you desire. I also offer mini-sessions that are 20 minutes and $300.

For seniors, I also offer two-hour sessions for $600, which includes multiple locations and outfit changes. If you want to bring a best friend along as well for a few photos and to help make you laugh, feel free!

If you are interested in booking a session, contact me using the form below! My fall/winter sessions fill up fast and I give priority to former clients of course, but from January through April, I’m usually super available on weekdays!

All portrait sessions are light-hearted and fun! The posed shots are obviously important but I’m always drawn to the candid shots, huge laughs, big smiles, kids making faces and all the random stuff that happens. Show up and be ready to just relax and have a great time!
