How I Shoot Events
Much like I shoot weddings, I love the candid photo of things happening at an event. Birthday parties, baby showers, grand-openings of a new building…there are so many moments that need to be captured and used for things like family photo albums all the way to corporate intranets and promotional materials.
My strategy is to know your timeline and be in all the right places at the right times. I take venue shots of your decorations, banners and anything that is part of your big day. If you are a company and require some nice shots of your facility, I will do that as well. It’s all included.
As with all my photography, I like to keep things simple. Events are harder to gauge because of their varied length, so the exact price would need to be discussed beforehand, but my current rate is $200 per hour. This includes my time and a DVD of all the photos shot at the event.
Event photography includes:
- Unlimited images taken
- Approximately 50 custom edited images per hour of your event
- Online slideshow and print purchasing
- DVD with web-sized images for posting on Facebook or company Intranet
A second photographer can be arranged if your event requires extra coverage. Pricing for an assistant can be discussed over the phone or via email.
A non-refundable 20% retainer is required to book the event date.
