Zona Communications
Vistancia is a community waaaay out on the northwest corner of Phoenix. Even from a central location like downtown Phoenix, this place is still 32 miles away. My buddy Rick Young actually lives way out there, plus some members of my family. It’s beautiful, surrounded by mountains and desert. Southwest Shakespeare Company Gala
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do for a little exposure, a little practice and just a little bit of growing up. The Southwest Shakespeare Company held a gala last weekend to raise money for their theater group. The cost was $100 a ticket, so it was a fairly ritzy event. Pearson Christmas Party
Last Thursday night I had the opportunity to photograph the Pearson Christmas Party that was held at The Venue, a gorgeous event location in downtown Scottsdale. Of course I had to do a quick little HDR of the interior before the guests arrived, which you can see above. Photoshoot: Claire’s Birthday Party {chandler event photographer}
Last Saturday I was lucky enough to shoot the little birthday party for 2-year old baby Claire. The theme was yellow because instead of gifts for Claire, her parents asked for donations to the Lemon-Aid, the Blood: Water Missions group that helps get water to thirsty kids in Africa. Claire’s mommy, Nicky, along with friends and family, decorated the house beautifully and it was fun taking pictures of all the yummy food and treats, not to mention all the guests who came to share in the big day. Happy Birthday baby Claire!
This darling, precious gift of a girl, turned two years old this past week. Her parents asked me to snap photos of her big birthday party on Saturday and I was honored. Life has been tough for little Claire, who has amazing challenges to face almost every day. But look at that smile. Oh my…how can you not get a warm, fuzzy feeling deep down inside and smile back at her?

When you are starting out in the photography business, you experience a lot of “firsts”…first time shooting a couple, first time shooting a family…first time, first time, first time. Beckoning
Kids tend to be shy when they get put into new places, and honestly, don’t we all? After being called over a few times by the kids under the umbrella, this little girl had slowly made her way into the frame of this shot. I love kids, love watching what they do and definitely love capturing it on camera. This shot brings back memories from childhood, where you are constantly wanting to be a part of a group, but sometimes too hesitant, because you aren’t quite sure why they want you to join. Photoshoot: Kodie’s birthday
I was invited to help celebrate Kodie’s 15th birthday by taking photos of the big event for her and her parents, and it was such a fun time. The theme was Hawaiian Luau and it was basically a pool party with lots of great food. The pulled pork was to die for, so grateful I was able to eat one, two or three (or more) of those little sandwiches *grin* Thanks to Kodie and her fam for letting me take some pictures, hope they help you remember the big day for years to come!
