Misti and Brian | Wedding
Right now Misti and Brian are on their honeymoon in New Zealand, making the rest of us about as jealous as you can get. While I’m sure they are out and about and enjoying the beauty of that place, I’m also curious if they needed a few days just to rest up from the wedding. I know I did. Which is a good thing. The dancing at this wedding was epic. It lasted for hours. In fact, I left a bit after 11pm and there was still an after-party supposed to happen at the bar across the courtyard. I’m sure [...]
Sarah | Senior Portraits
I’ve been impressed lately with the graduating seniors I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this spring. So much talent. Like Sarah here. Plays the violin. Rocking ballet dancer. Full ride to the University of Arizona. Although her dream school is Scripps College in California. Good choice anyways, who wants to live in Tucson right? Sarah is friends with Brianna, another senior I met earlier this year. She brought along her freshman sister Madeline, and you could just feel how close they are to each other. I couldn’t even get them to confess to being normal siblings and annoying each other. [...]
Lego Timelapse: Millennium Falcon
There is one thing I like to do to keep the kid inside me alive. Okay, well there’s probably more than one thing, but whatever! Yes, I still like to buy Lego sets every now and then. It’s fun to take a break from everything else and simply build something awesome. Now that I’m older though, I have certain self-imposed rules I follow. I only buy the Technic sets because they are more intense, and I only get the Star Wars sets from the original trilogy. Yes, I have standards when it comes to building Legos…what a nerd right? I’ve [...]
Into the Wild
(please click to view on black // canon 5d mark ii, canon 17-40 f/4 l, exposure blend // buy print) I’ve had a couple of friends lately tell me they miss Movie Title Wednesdays on my blog, and it kind of made me realize I do too. I haven’t done one in a few months now, but we’re back and better than ever! If you haven’t heard about the story of Christopher McCandless, than I suggest you rent the film Into the Wild, starring Emile Hirsch. The movie is based off the book of the same title written by Jon [...]
Two | Senior Portraits
Here’s two images from last night’s senior shoot with Sarah! An amazing young lady, super smart, bound for great things.
A few frames | Wedding
There were so many amazing moments at Misti and Brian’s wedding! I’m having a blast going through the images from the day and wanted to share just a handful of my favorites before I do a full blog post later this week. The love that surrounded Misti and Brian was something you could feel by just being there. Their parents…friends…family. It was kind of awesome to get a glimpse into their lives for a few hours. It’s definitely one of the huge reasons why I love photographing weddings! I know they both are boarding a plane today bound for New [...]
Misti | Wedding
Here’s one frame for Misti and Brian’s wedding. This room had an epic doorway, the light coming through was sick. Misti looked absolutely STUNNING. Click on the image so it fits your screen.
Brian & Laura | Engagement
I knew photographing the Superstition Mountains a lot would eventually pay off! Brian and Laura are an amazing couple getting getting married on October 27th. They met online, which appears to be how the entire dating world is trending these days, and they are having their wedding at the Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club. They found me by searching for “superstition mountain wedding photographer” and up I popped. You gotta love that. And I love these guys. So fun, laid back and really excited about their wedding. Even Brian. Although his buddy said he had to turn in his man [...]
Kyle | Senior Portraits
I love the Teri family. They have been amazingly supportive to me over the last few years. I shot their going away part of the parents not too long ago. They’ve purchased my Stormchasing books. They refer their friends to me. They’ve been there with encouraging words throughout a lot of our recent dealings with adopting Eli. They are just awesome people. And here is yet another awesome part of that family…Kyle. He’s graduating from Mesquite High School this year and he loves his dog Captain and his Honda. His younger sister Julie also joined us for a few shots [...]
