Memory of the Old West

I love the train tracks south of Hunt Highway, which is only a few miles from my house. I’ve taken a few pictures there, but this latest I really wanted to try and do something different with it.

It’s made to look old, obviously, but the texture on it comes from a nearby desert park. I found an old rock that had some cool colors, swirls and textures to it. It’s overlayed on this photos to really give it an old look…maybe like faded parchment?

Definitely reminds me of something from an old western photos.

You can buy this print right now from my photo gallery. If you don’t have Pay Pal or would rather just contact me directly, please email me.

If you’d like to see this in black and white, please let me know!

Wow, this photo is awesome! I’ve wondered what sorts of photos I could get of the tracks near my house, and this is an excellant idea!

Your blog is amazing. I hope mine looks like yours some day! :)

Thanks Stephen…you’ll get there, but honestly, I still feel pretty new and raw at this stuff, so we’re both in the same boat!
